When you think of camping, you think of having a steady tent, one that doesn’t get you wet when it’s raining outside and doesn’t blow away when it’s windy. But at the same time, you dont want to spend a fortune on a tent.
Now, that combination will usually either get you disappointed when you get a cheap/ affordable tent with weak zippers that come off or unsteady legs or simply a tent that lets in the water.
While on the flip side, a great tent will normally be very very expensive. But that’s not the case with this tent.
The Vidalido waterproof Camping tent is both affordable and great quality.
Not only is it spacious but has 3 doors for multiple entrances and two rooms allowing for 3-4 people to comfortably fit into the tent.
Furthermore it has a rain extender/ a shade extender depending on the weather where you can lounge outside the tent, cook or just spend time with your friends and family in the great outdoors.
And the best part is that it Is so spacious that you can comfortably fit in a queen air mattress in each room, if you’re not a typical camper with the sleeping bag and the backpack pillow. To prove this, according to one detailed review, a six foot man can comfortably fit into the tent without bumping his head – that’s just how spacious it is.
Plus, you can make your tent pretty by adding your own string lights that make the tent really cute (for the glamping girls)
It also has hooks that are strong enough to comfortably hold a light at night so you don’t have to have one torch that let’s you see only a section of the tent.
When it comes to the build of the tent, the poles are quite sturdy and the cover of the tent is water proof so you will not have any leakages. Additionally the extenders help to keep your shoes or anything left at the entrance of the tent dry.
One reviewer survived a storm without getting wet and without the tent being blown off.
Also, setting up the tent is quite easy but it will not be easy for any beginner who has never put a tent together so I’d suggest getting some help from a seasoned camper or an experienced one.
Additionally, there’s an extra layer on top of the screen door which is a good thing especially if you hate the morning sun because it completely blocks out the light. But if you like watching the great outdoors, lying on your mattress, you might not like the feature as the screen door has an extra layer that blocks any view or light.
And finally, the tent has a divider that can be folded. This is both a good thing and a bad thing. If you’re camping with your friends, it’s definitely a plus because the two rooms can easily become one big room. And also, if you’re alone, you can easily put your hiking gear, clothes, cooking Utensils in the other room when you use the divider.
But the divider can also be a bad thing if the zipper doesn’t close or open when needed – which in my opinion isn’t a big deal whether you’re able to close or open unless you’re camping with kids and need your privacy.
It comes in this beautiful nude brown color and black and it goes for $199.95 only which is super affordable considering what the tent has, its strong build and its size.
Finally, just with any other tent that’s this size, it definitely will be cold. What that means is that you’ll need a light to keep the tent warm or simply ditch the thin sleeping bag, get an air mattress, dress warmly when you’re sleeping or opt for a zero degree sleeping bag like this one below that can double up as a winter blanket that’s extremely warm.
So if you plan on camping in a cold area, take that into consideration or use this lightweight foam foil blanket that keeps in the heat if you’re using the sleeping bag above.
